The stream of computation and temporal continuity in artificial systems.
Manuel’s work with Ryota Kanai and Yuwei Sun was published in the Journal of Consciousness Studies. The paper considers temporal continuity as a missing ingredient in current artificial systems and proposes a roadmap for persistent, recursive computation. A preprint is also available.
